After a long journey, arrived in Oviedo, visit the cathedral, the pilgrim's hostel to get the credential but too much waiting, I buy it at the tourist office.

Outside the city, arrival at the airbnb host, bad surprise, no one !!!

she does not answer the phone, it is almost 6 p.m.

I talk to the neighboring shopkeeper who speaks a little French, who for the record lived in the favelas in Brazil and has just moved here, he tells me that this person apparently has bad associates, I'm afraid that 'we have to find another solution to sleep!

After 2 hours of waiting, I'm looking for a hotel but the cheapest are full, because it's a festive week, the cheapest remaining is at least 70 euros, the shopkeeper offers me to sleep at his place, I accept, we share the meal and around 10:30 p.m. I can finally rest a little, the Adventure begins ...

At the end of Oviedo, I lead two English people on the way who then stop at the café, I catch up with two Spaniards with whom I talk and will share the journey until Grado, David and Marie who live in Valencia, Marie speaks French and do the translation for David , a nice exchange where I learn among other things

that Valencia is a beautiful city to live in, good value for money.

These are barns on stilts, granaries intended for the storage of cereals, mainly corn. They were also used for preserving potatoes, fruit apples or for drying pieces of cold meats.

The oldest date from the fifteenth century and there are more than 20,000 in this province where they are considered a jewel of popular architecture.

They are found in two forms:

  • The squares, called hórreos, with a 4-sided pyramidal roof

  • Rectangular ones called paneras (corn was stored there to make bread, these are generally the most recent)

On a good walking pace we reach Grado and share the tradition here, the cider.

David and Marie continue to Villapanada where I join them later after eating and shopping for the evening.

Arrived at the lodging, in addition to David and Marie, I meet a group of Brazilians, a South African,

2 Germans, long discussions in English throughout the evening ...
